DO NOT PLAN AGAINST THE RIGHTEOUS
It is the first day of the month of April, and we thank God for his graciousness in bringing us thus far. We must continue to live as Christians as we witness Christ to those around us.
Many people do evil and are not ready to change from it, they begin to see everything and everyone around them as evil. They rationalise all that happens around them negatively and try to destroy or persecute the innocent ones who are not like them.
In the first reading of today, we see how the godless and evil doers instead of thinking of how to turn from their evil ways, were thinking of how to torment the good people among them who were not living the same wayward life like them.
The first reading is a prefiguration of the story of Jesus in the gospel reading. Just as the godless were discussing among themselves on how to kill the innocent, some of the Jews were also concorting plans on how to kill Jesus. The presence of an innocent person is always a threat to the godless and the godless either gives the Innocent man a bad name or want to cripple him.
We are called as Christians, to challenge one another to live a better life and not to condemn those who are making efforts among us.

Happy new month. May it be a fruitful one for us all. Amen.
