TUESDAY FOURTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR II

FAITH IN ACTION*

The situations of the recipients of the miracles in the gospel reading of today were actually a hopeless one. First, it was Jairus whose daughter was sick that came to see Jesus to seek healing. Jesus on the way was hijacked by another woman with haemorrhage. The woman had suffered for twelve years, and the daughter of jairus may have been about 12 years old too. What is interesting about both of them is their faith in Jesus. Jairus believed that Jesus will heal his daughter, and his faith increased when news came to him that his daughter had already died. The woman believed that she will be healed by Jesus, she showed a greater faith with the belief that a touch at the fringe of the cloak of Jesus was enough for her to be healed. The bigger the troubles we go through in life, the greater our faith in God should be. Call on Jesus today, and he will level all mountains and fill all valleys.
