GOD IS CREATING SOMETHING NEW FOR US

In as much as we are still in this world, we will continue to worry and lament about the things around us. We will always see and experience imperfect situations that will make us wonder if God still exists or not. The word of God tells us in the first reading of today, that God is creating something new for us, a new heaven that will make us forget the past. If we reflect on what God has kept for us, we will understand that no situation in life can make us want to lose what God has prepared for us. St Paul tells us in 1Cor 2:9, that no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no mind can imagine what God has prepared for those who love him. 

We should be assured therefore that no matter our situation, Jesus is always close to us. We see it clearly in the gospel reading, when after being rejected in his own place, he still came back to enter cana to heal the son of the official. He will sure heal us of whatever situation we find ourselves.
