Paul spoke highly of the churches in Macedonia. Despite the struggles they had to contend with, they never gave in to despair. Their joy was indeed genuine and contagious. Above all, Paul acknowledged their generosity. They willingly took up extra tasks for the gospel, little wonder Paul gave them an excellent scorecard. Jesus challenged his disciples to also have an excellent scorecard by being perfect as their heavenly Father. He wants us to love unconditionally. He wants us to do a little more than the conventional.  There are many societies and associations in the Church today who have graciously taken up tasks to support missionary work. Individuals too have also provided for the Church. Some of these persons are contributing from their poverty.

PRAYER: O Lord, help me to be generous without counting the cost. Help me, by your Spirit, to forgive and pray for my enemies. Amen
