The first reading of today recounts the experience of the children of Israel after the death of Joseph. Their increase in number was a threat to the new Pharaoh and the Egyptians. They tried to stop the Israelites but the more they oppressed them, the more the Israelites multiplied. What happened to the descendants of Joseph in Egypt may be your experience in the journey of life. It may be that your progress and success is a threat to people around you. It may also be that people just feel threatened by your personality and they are opposing and attacking you. Take courage. God is on your side. Nothing and nobody can stop your progress and success. Nothing and nobody can stop the favours and blessings of God over your life.

Lord my God, thank you for the insight of your word today. I believe that nobody can stop my progress and success. Amen.
