Our world is filled with all kinds of business advertisements. Perhaps it is in a similar vein that the Psalmist of today states: “your saints, O Lord make known the glorious splendor of your reign”. In the Gospel, Philip introduced Jesus to Nathanael or Bartholomew. According to tradition, Bartholomew whose feast we celebrate today, would later preach the Gospel in Armenia. In this way, he has proved to be a friend of Jesus by promoting his work of salvation. The Church invites us to learn from this saintly man and speak about the glory of the reign of Christ. Let us, therefore, have the courage to speak about Christ both through our words and actions, so that our names could also be included on the twelve foundation stones of the heavenly city.
Prayer: Lord Jesus give us the grace to sincerely follow you and bring others too into your company. Amen.
