Jesus, in the parables of today revealed the two contrasting attitudes of stewardship. Stewards are usually entrusted with some responsibilities. But for a steward to be entrusted with the household of his master, shows the amount of trust the master had in the steward. God has so much trust in us and for this reason has entrusted us with all he created. There is nothing we have that actually belongs to us. They are all put in our charge by God to be taken care of: Our possessions, families, friends, wealth, and everything around us. This means that we shall all give account of how well we cared for that which God put in our charge. So, this calls for us to be responsible and disciplined in our dealings. We should exude humility, love, generosity, and selflessness in our services as stewards of God’s household. And if much is entrusted to us, more commitment is required from us. 

Prayer: Lord Jesus, may we never lose focus in our commitment as we care for all that you have entrusted to us. Amen.
