Acts 22:30; 23:6-11/ Ps 16:1-2a and 5. 7-8. 9-10. 11/ Jn 17: 20-26
In today’s gospel, Jesus continues with his prayer for those who believe in him to be united; “that they may be one as we are one.” While it may be practically impossible, as things are in our world today, for Christians to be physically one in terms of having one church, we can at least be one in our actions. We can be one in the way we desire to do the will of God. We also can be one in the way we bear witness, in the way we love, and in the way people identify Christ in us despite the denomination or place we find ourselves. We should all have the same disposition like St Paul, who had the courage to bear witness to Christ in all circumstances.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to identify the various places I need to bear witness to you, and give me the grace to perfectly represent you and the Father. Amen.
