In Tobit we see a frustrated man. A man who, prior to the unfortunate accident was a righteous and charitable man. He transferred his frustration on his wife despite all her efforts to sustain the family; he even called her a thief. Anna represents women who are victims of verbal abuse from those they labour to cater for; women who are unappreciated, provoked to anger, retaliation and regret. Let us pray for strength for such people.
