In the first reading, we see Tobias and Sarah committing their union to God. They wished to see themselves grow together to old age. A relationship that does not accommodate God as the centre of the union is certainly not Godly. In the same vein, a Christian should desist from a relationship that takes one away from God. Love prompts people to pray for their loved ones. We are not far from the kingdom of God when we make prayer the bedrock of our union and all that we do.
PRAYER: Lord, listen to my prayers when I call upon your name; for in you I place my trust. Amen
