Simple but genuine

It could be a painful feeling to see what you have worked so hard for go down the drain. This was the feeling of Paul in the first reading. His letter to the Corinthians was his last effort to remedy the situation in the community that he laboured so hard for its growth. He warned them against being deceived by false disciples who disguise as servants of light. Sometimes, we go through the same feeling of disappointment and heartbreak with our children, ward and followers. We invest a lot of time, treasure and talent to provide a better future. We sacrifice a lot, get loans and receive insults and embarrassment for someone, only to be disappointed by what they turn out to become. Like Paul, take solace that you have done all you could for such a person. Do not hold grudges rather commit such to God in prayer.

PRAYER: When life burden weighs me down, when anger fills my being, when disappointment and frustration are about to take over me, O Lord revive my drooping spirit. Amen
