In our relationship with God, the saying, “seeing is believing", does not always count. Believe everything the word of God says and trust God always. Thomas Aquinas a great teacher of faith once wrote: “To the one who has faith, no explanation is necessary, and to the one who has no faith, no explanation is enough". The Apostle Thomas, in today’s Gospel, doubted when Jesus appeared after the resurrection in his absence. Thomas wanted to see before he would believe. And when Jesus gave him the opportunity to see, he realized how foolish he was to doubt his Master. Jesus gently rebuked him saying: “Blessed are those who do not see, yet believe” (cf. John 20:29). To grow in faith, we need to spend time with God and crave to know him more. Believe everything God has spoken, and never doubt his ability and willingness to do what he has promised. Always act based on your belief in the word of God.
PPRAYER: Lord Jesus, like Thomas, doubt fills my heart in some situations. Please, help me to believe and trust you in all circumstances. Amen.
