In continuation of Joseph’s encounter with his brothers in the first reading of yesterday, he finally revealed himself to them in today’s reading. In the process, this is what Joseph said: "You sold me here, but God sent me to preserve life” (Genesis 45:5). There are life lessons for us to learn from this story of Joseph and his brothers. What situation of difficulty are you in? Is it caused by people or someone? Do not allow that situation to make you bitter, let it make you better. Some circumstances may become steps to move higher, or stumbling blocks, depending on how you take them. People indeed may sell you out, but may be, God has allowed it so that you can get to where you need to be. No event is ever meaningless for a child of God.

Lord my God I repent of the times I have complained in the past; through the many zigzags and twist of life, lead me to my expected destiny. Amen.
