Have no fear

In preparing his disciples for hardship and persecution that come with evangelism, Jesus said to them: "So have no fear..." (Matthew 10:26). This is the kind of fear that paralyzes. The fear of the unknown; of situations, people and things over which we have either no control of, or only limited control. This fear is characterized by worry and anxiety; it is fruitless and draining.  Sometimes people say: "I am afraid, but I don't even know what I am afraid of". Have no fear. The assurance for casting out fear is that we have a God who is in control. Fear is dangerous especially if you allow it to drive you. You can overcome fear by turning to the one who created you and your emotions. Resolutely hold onto your faith. Turn to the word of God in the Bible and let it be your anchor.

PRAYER:
Abba Father, here I am before you today, cast away every fear in me. I reject the spirit of fear, and receive the spirit of power. Amen
