Dance, dance wherever you may be

The gospel invites us to a dance: “We piped to you and you did not dance!” But why not? The entire universe is a locale of a mega-party. Life is a great celebration in spite of the man-made and natural tragedies which bedevil human existence. How we live our life is a prism through which we see and describe the universe. If we could live as the saints did, our view of life would be radically different. We celebrate this day some of such saints who tried to view life with the eyes of Christ. Andrew Kim Taegon was murdered with several others for his attempt to bring in missionaries along a water route that would elude the border patrol. Protase Chong, one of the saints, was forced to apostatize under torture and was freed from death. Later he came back and confessed his faith and was tortured to death. In spite of the tragedy that awaited them, they danced to the music of life, whose invisible drummer is none but God himself. Let us join in the dance by righteous deeds.

PRAYER: Grant me to dance to your music Lord. Only in this way will I truly live. Amen
